BioPEKK polymers have many characteristics which make it ideal for medical applications. This material works with every type of sterilization including ETO, Gamma, and Autoclave. BioPEKK polymer is bio-compatible and has passed ISO 10993 tests. Biocompatibility tests were performed under GLP guidelines and include 52-week data. BioPEKK polymers also feature high radiolucency and offer excellent performance under x-rays. BioPEKK polymers have similar stiffness to cortical bone. BioPEKK polymers reduce the effect of stress shielding common in metallics for orthodedic applications such as spinal or hip implants.

BIOPEKK MG (medical grade) Polymers
- Designed for temporary living tissue contact (less than 29 days of living tissue contact permitted)
- Controlled stiffness
- Color choices
- Available with various additives for higher strength and stiffness
BIOPEKK IG (implant grade) Polymers
- Designed for long term tissue contact
- Higher level of testing and control
- Finer filtration and purification
- Controlled stiffness
- Natural color only
- Available with high-purity carbon fiber for structural applications such as spinal cages, hip stems, etc.
